I am Tam-Tam and I'm The King of our road. I am the greatest cat on our road, and I'm the only one without a tail. Although I no longer have a tail, I am STILL The King, nothing has changed. I know Mom was a little concerned that I might lose my status after my accident, but no, tail or no tail, I was born to be King.
Tessa is my Queen. She always walks a little behind me, and I always take care of her.
Only one cat is allowed to come near our house and that is Mr. Grey. Mr. Grey is a wild cat, who comes to our house every day to get his dinner. Sometimes Tessa and I play with him, but he always takes off again. He is a wanderer, a kind of mystery cat, the kind that cannot settle down. He loves the open roads. He was born to roam.
I'm The King in our house too. Dad and I always have little fights about who is the head of the family. I always win!
When I hear his car arrive, I rush in and take the best armchair. I know he wants that chair when he watches TV, but it's my chair. This Christmas he said that he would give himself a new armchair, which he did. He bought a mighty smart one too. He can sit upright and recline it, as well as a lot of other crazy things. (Mom says that she is quite sure there is an ejection seat in it too, and that one day he will fly out of the window.) Well, she doesn't have to worry any longer, because it's my chair now and I am not flying anywhere!
So Dad has to find another place, and by the way, he is always sleeping so what does it really matter where he is...

Being King of the Road I have so much to do. I have to keep an eye on everything in my neighborhood. One of the neighbors has a little rabbit in a cage in the garden. This poor little thing has been sitting in that cage for nearly 10 years now. I'm sure glad I am not a rabbit.
Then I take a look at the fishpond in my other neighbor's garden. I make sure that he doesn't have too many fishes in it. If he does, I quickly take care of that little problem...

However the most "funny" neighbor is Poul -- Mom and Dad's good friend. He has an old classic car from 1929. He loves that car. I don't understand why, because he has a new car that is much more elegant. Well he is spending lots of hours cleaning and polishing that old monster. When he is working on the car I go and visit him. I walk really close to the car, and pretend that I am going to jump up on the top of it. He gets so frustrated that he yells at me: Don't you dare to jump up on my car you crazy cat!
Of course I would never do that, why should I lay on that old piece of junk, when I can go back to my own house and lay on my Dad's new leather recliner with the ejection seat, haha. But it's so fun to tease him...
Well this is how my life is as King of the Road. I love every day, and as you can see, I keep busy. It's not easy to be the King.

OBS - Tam-Tam's Crown is "taken" from an original photo of Queen Margrethe II's Crown. So don't say we are not resourceful here in Denmark!!!

Cats have never forgotten this."
